ABOUT ME

The founder, Ernest is a graduate of the University of San Diego (in California, United States) with a master's degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution in 2010. He also possesses a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Language Studies from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.

Ernest was born and raised in Tanzania (East Africa) in a family of 13 children. His childhood dream since 5th grade back in his small town of Kigoma, Tanzania was to immigrate to the United States. In 2007 when he was in his second year at the University of Dar es Salaam, he had wealth of information about education opportunities and scholarships which made him create a blog and exclusively share such information and advise fellow students through blogging. Before starting his final year, he received a fully-funded scholarship to come to the United States right after his bachelor's degree. He received over 40,000 USD Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Scholarship, the most prestigious in the world to teach Swahili language and African culture at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia (United States). Ernest had to attend enrichment orientation for one week at Stanford University to prepare him for the Fulbright assignment to Marshall University. He became a Fulbright Scholar and Professor from August 2008 to May 2009.

Ernest received 2 more scholarships in May 2009. He got admission to the University of San Diego at the Joan B Kroc School of Peace to pursue his master's degree. He was awarded a 36,000 USD Joan B Kroc Peace Scholarship for tuition and fees, and a 24,000 USD Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship to cover living expenses in the great state of California in the United States as an International Student. In total, he was awarded 60,000 USD for a master's degree.
