PhD degree with Quota funding - UNIVERSITY OF OSLO (NORWAY)

Applicants to doctoral programmes may also be considered for Quota Scheme funding. Admission is extremely competitive, and only excellent applicants who have already established close links to a potential supervisor and relevant department at the University of Oslo will be considered.

The application procedure for PhD studies with Quota funding is twofold:

1. Applicants must send their research proposal and application for admission to doctoral studies to the relevant faculty at the University of Oslo.

2. Applicants must submit their application for Quota funding to the International Education Office.

How to apply for Quota funding:

Submit the online Quota application form

Attestation form and required supporting documents
Quota Scheme funding for doctoral programmes covers living expenses only and NOT research costs. Successful candidates for Quota funding will therefore usually have secured research funding from elsewhere, possibly in collaboration with their proposed supervisor(s)/department.

Preference is given to applicants who are involved in joint research programmes between the University of Oslo and the home university.
